The Forming of the Self
The forming of the self has been occurring all our lives, but it is only at the start of it that we were uninfluenced to be who we really are. At the start there isn't really any 'who' you are, because there isn't anyone else. At the start there is no separation. At the start there was only observation, and it is this state that is the start for any re-centring or forming of ourself.
It is being the First Self, without the societies pragmatic influences and without the social comparisons that your mind makes (called ego) — just being your true self, one which isn't just following others. The process of being your First Self is the necessary testament to guide your daily living; by just being the observer. The innocent child, ego-less and nonchalant, unaffected by the thoughts and expectations of others.
Any trying to prove oneself is pretending. The real proof is by just being as you are being. If life is taken at the speed it is going and you are relaxed and present, then this is love. This is the beautiful way. This is the way when you see the good, and is most likely to produce the right concept for the circumstance. The right concept is the one that flows you through it with most ease. When you can see even the restrictions and resistances in your life as smoothly flowing, you know you are following the natural way.
Your ego is a social conformity mechanism and is rooted in caring about the opinions of others. The forming of your identity is ego encapsulated. All ego problems are due to a dissolution of identity; an inability to reconcile the paradoxes that occur in life due to all the concepts being full of fiction. The thinking that life isn't as it should be, the thinking that something is wrong, is the fiction of your thoughts and the breaking of your self by doubting the divine way.
Mundane misery can be the result of relying upon society to give you your best. The root of us is far more than this. Our abandonment to this deeper current that we float on through life, is the real truth, and our societal expectations and emotional conformities (what we have been inculcated into thinking is good or bad), can be transcended, and peace and love is there and has always been there, and everything else is rubbish.
If you want to find yourself, then all you need is a quiet room by yourself. The more than that, that you have, just adds to the journey. If you spend any time in that room wanting help or support from another, then you are wasting it. It all lies within, and it is all lies outside.
Our reality is the story that we make of it, which is aided and abetted by society; and society is everyone else's story. Our true story is the one that is only us. Our self is our basest concern and the thing that demands our full allegiance to, while also recognizing that everyone has the same self too and deserves the same consideration and respect.
Life’s continuity via procreation and our obligations to society due to our subservience to it, is all primarily base survivalism. It is not what the self is all about. The forming of that self is what the divinity — devoid of any mundane responsibility — harkens to. Our duty to our self is to be true to our self, and each of our journeys is unique.

On the principle that if you just let the universe do what it does, it will do it in the best way that it can for you. That is because it could not have got to being this, if this was not true. If you flow with the true way, that way will be the best way for you; being your true self unaffected by any mechanisms of society's timetable and trivialities that distract you from your true path. Breathing and relaxation are key to letting the body be as it should be. Just being natural with a mind undisturbed by desires that root from society, is key to letting your true path unfold. Self-observe to the point of abandonment, being ultra-present, ultra-aware, unaffected by environment.
If you know yourself to be good at heart, then all you will need is to be able to operate in a natural state and your natural goodness will be released to nourish yourself and those around you. Allowing the natural sequence of events to provide your best life for you.
You are the product of the universe. You are the universe. To discover yourself you only have to be aware of yourself. All the experiences of being you is the data to discover the universe using the program designed by it — you. We are the manuals to ourselves. No other has any more; just being is all the experience that you need. There is no point in following another's path, there is only your own; all else is just pretending. It is only yourself that you can discover so why look at another. The point is to be the manifestation of the universe — a journey which is inevitably one of self-discovery.
