I am not sure whether it is nominative determinism or not, but I do have a great attraction to trees and old pieces of wood.

I have a wooden bench in the garden which I like to sit on and watch the birds and squirrels do their thing, but I don't like talking to people while sitting on it. Because I am rather sensitive, the vibrations of their speech tend to reverberate through the bench and into me. While I can tolerate someone talking out of their arse, it is much more difficult to tolerate someone talking into mine!
