The Closed Mirror
This is part of the Mirrorway and lies half way between the Gate and the Mirror, in the crossing to the inner dimension. This is the altered state of consciousness of the halfway state of the alpha/theta boundary of brainwave frequency. Also known as the Loom, this is the dreaming symbol. The overlapping Penters creating a machine for weaving your dreams into reality.
Lucid dreaming, surreal waking, alpha/theta state brainwaves: this is the twilight zone where reality is shown to not be what we think it is, and where we can transcend the mundane and explore a world that is the unmanifested divine. The mirror is closed and the physical world is locked out, only the dream remains.

The Cross of Megâk
The infinity symbol — the figure of eight — lies in the centre in an overlapped dual form, a perpetual balance between the two sides of consciousness of waking and dreaming, that are in actuality only one. It also symbolizes the 8Hz frequency which is the dominant brainwave frequency for this state, and also the dominant Schumann frequency of our planet.
The Cross of Megâk is the central part and embodiment of the Loom, and the infinity gateway to the performances that lead to the crossing of the two halves that compose the Closed Mirror, which produce a blending of the two hemispheres of the brain.

The Practice
Use this symbol to acquire the focus and priming of intent for the entry into lucid dreams. Performed before going to sleep as a ritual to import the desire and expectancy of becoming lucid during the forthcoming dreams.
This is the Closed Mirror and like the relationship of the Closed Gate to the Gate, it is a sealing of the work done in the Mirror. The lucid dreaming state is an environment in which we can practice being the person we want to be, a rehearsal room for the work already done in the Mirror. The Closed Mirror seals us off from the habitual lesser selves that society entrains us to become, and within the privacy of this sacred state allows us to become and release who we really are.
Consciousness during the unconsciousness of sleep is something that is attainable by concentration while going to sleep, and is an inevitable attainment/result from meditating. The suspension of thoughts will allow the affirmations and desires that have been instantiated by the various methods of Megâk to become fulfilled. It is a necessary and naturally resultant part of the process.
All areas of consciousness need to be enhanced. More awareness is the ultimate goal, and least awareness occurs whilst asleep. It is this area that it is most desirable to pursue greater consciousness because there is greater room for improvement here. Both the hypnagogic and hypnopompic states (just before sleep and just after sleep, respectively), are gold mines of interesting phenomena to study and mine for further insight into this manifestation. This is the realm of angels and where we can find the messages that are meant for us. I believe the key to unlocking our personal development and knowing our raison d'etre is in these areas.
The Closed Mirror is also known as the Loom, and is the path to weave your dreams together. This can be done using the Dragonfly style as shown above or the Hawk style seen below.
The figure of eight in the middle (called the Dykirkos in Pentegraph), is the hub which can have its direction changed by travelling the path of the Loom. This is demonstrated below by clicking the symbol to the left of the speed control slider.

Lucid Dreaming
The cultivation of lucid dreaming is the ultimate playground and the most advanced virtual reality machine there can ever be. Waking is perhaps only for the necessary maintenance of the physical form, and may be nothing more than a platform from which to pursue the dream states! Life was primordially in this state of sub consciousness, and perhaps it is these states that are both the lowest and the highest forms of being. Our daily waking experience is primarily for our survival, and perhaps we don't sleep to keep ourselves healthy in our waking, but are awake so we can be healthy in our sleeping! I'm half joking, but also it is only by our own private investigation into our dream worlds that we can know that world and by reflection, our physical world experience too. It is a valid path, and although it may seem it on the outside, we are not merely dreaming our life away, but we are developing ourselves to the fullest extent. Our full life includes these dream states anyway; to be unaware during them is what is wasteful. It is not enough to just remember the dreams, we need to be actively conscious during them.
Lucid dreaming is the operation of an incredibly sophisticated virtual reality machine. We've been using this virtual reality machine all our lives, but whilst inside it we have acted as if it wasn't virtual, and we were unable to utilize the advantages. We behaved as if there was gravity, but there wasn't. We thought the walls were solid but they weren't; we thought the people in it were real and had free will, but they didn't. We behaved as if it was all real because we couldn't tell the difference. What a waste. Surely this virtual reality machine that we have is the best thing ever. Surely this is more important than the rest of it — at least from an entertainment perspective. Even in the real world everything we experience is temporary, and our joy is but jumping between fleeting moments of happiness which ultimately dissipate into normality, just like waking up from a dream. But in dreams you can do anything and there are no consequences. The ultimate playground; all we need to do is become aware while we are in it.
If we really want to live the dream, then we can dream the live. Anybody else's opinion of us and what we do is only a concern in the survival mechanism of society. All of that is the work to just keep us alive and the real playground is in our dreams. Everything to do with society is just a distraction from your divine life. Don't let it distract you. It is not important, it is the survival mechanism, it is not the divine. It is not the reason for us being here, but the method to keep us here. It should be subservient to us, not our master.
