Rituals of Megâk
Rituals are religious observances; but this in itself doesn't actually mean anything. The observing aspect of it is probably from after the meaning of the word had already been lost, and the ritual was already just a mouthing of a past performance no longer understood. That is certainly the case in all modern activities purporting to the word. Our only clue as to the true meaning is from the Proto-Indo-European root for it: to reason or count
. Here we can see that there is an activity of reinforcing some special attention upon something that should not be forgotten. Unfortunately, it hasn't worked!
Ceremony has the same meaning as ritual, and the second part of the word may come from moneo, which has the root men, and is therefore to do with the mind. Moneo means to put into one's mind
, and can also be to instruct or teach and foretell. This all fits well into the usage of the word ceremony which at its root is all about reminding the attenders of some sacred and important matter.
Ceremony is just ignorance now. You do not need ceremony or ritual if you have understanding. It certainly will not get others to understand as has been proven over the millennia.
What we discover in archaeology that we do not know anything about, we tend to supposition ancient rituals upon; but those suppositions are just our ignorant assumptions. It is us who have said what they were doing, based upon our complete ignorance of what they were doing, and are just fantastical and stupid interpretations. It is our projection of fiction; our projection of our own meniality; the projection of our own lack of understanding.
The pejorative sense of the word ritual has come to mean that it is no longer known what it is about and the meaning has been forgotten. Used in religion, and like all the religions, hopelessly ineffective in transmitting any true understanding to its followers.
Most rituals are for the conservation of a concept which is an extrapolation of a revealed potential, which has had a fiction woven around it to the point that it is believed to be real even though no actual experience of it exists — only the projected possibility of it and the fuzzy understanding of its precursor.

Ceremony is often used when you have forgotten what it is or why you do it, whilst clinging to some forsaken paradigm. It has unfortunately become almost the epitome of ignorance and often only a declaration that pretends to know what is being done. In most cases it is done because it is childish fun... OK, that's fair enough!
Magick is not in the past, it is in the present. To look to the past for understanding is to look for an external authority rather than the divine within us, and can hopelessly confuse our way. Our life in this age is completely different to whatever has gone before! Following ancient ways can be anachronistic and contrary to what is truly happening in this special time. There is a reason for why it has become hidden. There is a reason for why people get old and die.
This belief that greater understanding existed in ancient times is a perspective that derives from when we were children, and our observation that older people seemed to possess more knowledge and were esteemed for it. Extrapolating this to earlier periods within civilisation, is also influenced by religious insistences that the Earth is only thousands of years old, and therefore those at the beginning were closer to the magical origins of creation and the inevitable magical processes that would have to have been at work then. It is all wrong. The things we believe that they knew is 𝘰𝘶𝘳 ignorance, not 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 knowledge.
A lot of these older sources that are used and regurgitated are confused and redundant, and can only perpetuate a lack of solid understanding and allow all sorts of unsubstantiated imaginings, consolidated into rituals and ceremonies. There may well have been good intent and purpose to it all originally, but mostly this has not survived.
We have to nail it down and stop it from being blown around by this wind of our belief in ancient superior knowledge. The farting has gone on long enough. Living in your own time is being true to yourself and true to the universe, and is being the magic that is the real you. That is all you need to really do. The magic is within you.

Prayer
Prayer is a supplication to God.
Give it to me you fucking cunt
, is as much of a prayer as any nice and humble sycophantic asking. God does not care about polite society, but it might respond to an emotive insistence, as this will activate all sorts of biological means to acquire what is being sought — and we will tell the story after. Prayers may be said in any number of languages and there are any number of words that might refer to God, including those that refer to his opposite. Because it is all God. The universe is the one God and it is the whole universe, not the tiny human society on one tiny planet. Only using words that are acceptable in polite human society, is not seeing the reality at all. Any God that is capable of understanding the religious concepts would be insulted by them. This is not how it works.
The clue is from the alternative etymology of the word supplication: from sub under
, and placare; to calm, quiet
. This underneath the calm and quiet, is the divine retreat which is the infinite void of the singularity of no-time and no-space, and the inevitable base that is at the root of everything, and where the creation ultimately comes from — to which we give the word God.
The purpose of the etymology is not to follow the path of the evolvement or to get to the first words, but to get to before the words — the preternatural meaning. To the understanding which has no words, to the understanding that has no need of them.
Following rules is the same as following words, and is only pretending understanding. Real understanding does not need words, and is indeed alien to them. Once you have no need of the words and have thrown the book away, there is only anarchy left — the anarchy of divine providence. The anarchy of order: the cosmos. The real thing.
Our prayers are a supplication (sub-plico: to fold beneath); the prayer is in the action of the folding and submission to God. A bending to the true way of the universe. Your prayer is answered by the realisation that everything is working in its right way. Everything is fine, and there are no problems. This is the answer, and therefore it should also reflect the question. We are not asking for something, our supplication is for love, and this love is the believing, the trust and faith in the universe; an abandonment to its path with the grace that transcends our worldly worries. This is what we pray for. Perhaps it is all we can pray for.

The Inner Circles
The wishing machine
of Megâk is the Aster: Esokirkos – the Inner Circle. The action of the Aster has a wrapping or folding aspect to it, and the sensation of this tightening helix produces a physical braiding that forms the net for the wish. But this engineering of coincidence
is in reality only a humble entreaty to one's own deep nature, and the weaving of desire just a story to placate the unease of a perceived lacking in life. Beneath the folding of this geometry of intent lies the calm mind which is the true destination and ultimate purpose, where all our desires are fulfilled by the elimination of wanting them.
The Geometry of Supplication
The Aster is the symbol for desire, but it is not a passive yearning; it is a machine for wishing upon a star
. To understand the mechanism of this machine, we must look beneath the surface of the word supplication. In the societal matrix, to supplicate is often reduced to a kneeling beggar pleading with an external force. But in the geometry of Megâk, we find a far more potent definition hidden in the root: sub-plico.
Sub-plico means to fold beneath.
This aligns perfectly with the nature of the Aster, which is a perpetual closed helix that folds back upon itself. When we perform the Aster, we are not reaching out; we are folding in. We are taking the raw energy of a wish and braiding it into the very structure of our being. The tightening nature
of the Aster acts as a binding agent, a geometric knot that secures the intent and the folding of desire.
The Weaver’s Knot
The etymology deepens with the Greek root – Πλεκω (to twine, twist, weave, or braid), which is the active cousin of the fold. The Aster is a twisting oneself round
to clasp or embrace the desire. It is a weaving of ideas into reality by persistent and focused intent. Just as the Loom weaves the dream world, the Aster plaits the strands of desire into a plan or device — another meaning of Πλεκω.
This transforms the act of prayer. The Latin precor invites us to pray with a calm mind, resonating with the Megâk requirement for composure, stability and centring
. It is an entreaty that is settled, not desperate. By performing the Aster — this infinite turning and twisting — we are physically enacting the Precatio. We are engaging in the divine magic of constructing a vessel for our will.
Beneath the Fold
What lies beneath the fold? If summon means to work beneath the mind
, then supplication is the act of placing the wish there. The physical sensation of the Aster's rotation — the encircling of a sphere
— creates a vortex. As we trace the path, we are folding the conscious wish down into the subconscious void, the White Room at the centre of the Aster.
We are not begging the universe; we are braiding ourselves into it. We are knitting our intent into the fabric of the divine. The Aster is the tool that performs this sacred folding, twisting the ethereal possibility of a wish into the tightened, manifest reality of the I am.

Rituals of Megâk
The following rituals are the physical enactments of these principles — somatic structures to syncopate with the divine.
I have been performing the ORBIT of Self Form every morning before I get up for over 10 years, but have only recently realised that it is in fact a ritual. Rituals do not always start off as such. With the dual purpose of massaging my abdomen while inculcating my philosophy and positive outlook, it became a method of daily inspiration to guide my thoughts to good. These are my religious observances and start with the O
of Observe, and revolve around the Omphalos Aster which is at the centre of the Ritual of ORBIT.
